Colored Animals Set

Seven woodland animals, each individually handcrafted and painted by hand, ready to become part of a little forest world. This wooden animal set invites children to discover familiar creatures, explore their shapes, and create stories through hands-on play. From the tiny hedgehog to the sturdy bear, every figure brings its own character to the collection.

✨ Small Actions, Meaningful Discovery

🤲 Fine motor practice: Picking up the animals, placing them along an imaginary trail, and arranging a woodland scene offer opportunities to practice controlled hand movements and hand-eye coordination.

🐾 Animal recognition and vocabulary: Naming the animals and describing their features invite children to build vocabulary and notice differences between woodland creatures.

🔢 Counting and matching: Counting the seven figures, making small groups, and matching them to animal photographs offer concrete ways to explore early number and observation activities.

💬 Language and imagination: Creating conversations, describing forest adventures, and sharing stories with others provide opportunities for expressive language and cooperative play.

🌱 Inspired by Montessori Principles

This wooden woodland animal set can support Montessori-inspired activities through hands-on exploration, purposeful movement, and opportunities for independent work. The recognizable figures provide concrete objects for naming, counting, and matching.

An adult can introduce two or three animals, name each one clearly, and demonstrate a simple activity before inviting the child to continue independently. Match the figures to realistic animal picture cards, count them one at a time, or arrange them on a tray and return each animal to its place after use.

Used for these activities, the set complements Montessori-inspired learning rather than serving as a traditional Montessori teaching material.

🌲 A Woodland World of Their Own

Build a forest with wooden blocks, create a clearing for the bear, or guide the fox along a winding trail. Children can decide where each animal belongs and what happens next, turning a simple arrangement into a story of their own.

For a quieter activity, choose a few figures and practice their names, compare their outlines, or match them to animal photographs. Add more animals as the child becomes familiar with the activity. Blocks, picture cards, and scenery can be introduced from your own collection.

🎨 Individually Handcrafted & Hand-Painted

Each animal figure is individually made by hand from linden wood and then painted by hand. Both the wooden forms and their painted details are created through hands-on craftsmanship, giving every animal its own distinctive character.

Natural variations in wood grain and subtle differences in the hand-painted details make each set unique. Finished with natural wax and oil for children's toys, the figures retain the tactile appeal of wood while bringing color to a miniature woodland scene.

🎁 A Thoughtful Gift for Animal Lovers

A thoughtful birthday or special-occasion gift for children who enjoy forest animals, miniature worlds, and imaginative storytelling. The handcrafted figures can become part of a growing play collection, with opportunities for naming, counting, matching, and creating woodland adventures.
